The Commons - Our Common Heritage Campaign
The OUR COMMON HERITAGE CAMPAIGN is an opportunity for you to participate in the creation of the Commons - a new landmark space in the heart of downtown Washington, Indiana. This public space celebrates our community and provides a new gathering space for our residents and visitors to come together, celebrate, and enjoy.
Sponsorships are available at a variety of levels, and all will be recognized publicly as part of the Heritage Wall feature proposed for inclusion as part of the Commons project. Contributions made to the OUR COMMON HERITAGE CAMPAIGN are tax deductible as a charitable contribution to the extent allowed by law.

Upcoming Events
To schedule an event at The Commons, individuals or organizations should contact the City of Washington Parks and Recreation Department. Reservations for the Commons—including the Event Pavilion, Market Pavilion, Bandstand, or the entire Commons area—can be made by calling 812-254-1996 or 812-254-8234. City staff can assist with availability, rental pricing, required deposits, and event guidelines. A damage or cleaning deposit may be required, and non-profit organizations with 501(c)(3) status may qualify for discounted rental rates.
