The Daviess County Chamber of Commerce hosted its State of Daviess County Address this afternoon, an event sponsored by Daviess Community Hospital. Community leaders, business representatives, and local officials gathered to hear updates on major initiatives and ongoing development throughout Daviess County. Chamber Director Daniel Cullen opened the program.

Commissioner Updates from Tony Duncheon

County Commissioner Tony Duncheon began the speaker lineup with a comprehensive overview of county operations and priority projects. He highlighted ongoing infrastructure improvements, interdepartmental cooperation, and long‑term planning efforts aimed at supporting growth and maintaining strong county services.

West Boggs Progress Update from Nathan Rihm

Nathan Rihm provided updates from West Boggs Park, including recent improvements, enhancements, and new developments designed to elevate the park experience. His report emphasized the park’s continued importance as a community recreation and tourism destination.  

WestGate Advancements Reported by Bryant Niehoff

Bryant Niehoff followed with a briefing on the ongoing progress at WestGate. He shared updates on major initiatives, partnerships, and developments that continue to position WestGate as a regional hub for technology, innovation, and economic growth.

Jail Statistics and Safety Overview from Sheriff Gary Allison

Rounding out the presentations, Sheriff Gary Allison discussed current statistics and updates regarding the Daviess County Jail. He addressed population trends and offered valuable insight into public safety efforts .
