Expand Your Business

A drive down Daviess County roads shows we are fertile ground for growth. And as you look past our abundant agricultural sector to our flourishing business community, you’ll discover equally robust expansions.

As with our crops, some of our business growth comes from the ground up. Graber Post, for example, began with a 3-man Amish construction crew and grew into one of the state’s leading building materials manufacturers and suppliers in the Midwest. Some of our growth is synergistic; as Grain Processing Corporation and Perdue Farms have thrived, the demand for crops and livestock continue to rise, supporting our agricultural enterprises.

A few examples of recent Daviess County expansions:

  • True Rx Health Strategists, prescription benefits management firm: $1.8 million,15,000 sq. ft new headquarters.
  • Berry Global, global manufacturer of plastics products: 40,000 sq. ft. expansion.
  • Grain Processing Corporation, a leading producer of Maltodextrin (AKA Maltrin®): $70 million expansion.
  • Artisan Electronics, a specialist in defense-related engineering, technical, IT, and cybersecurity services: 2020 expansion adding 20 new high tech jobs at WestGate@Crane.
  • NASCO, designer and manufacturer of specialty protective outerwear: $1.75 million, 24,000 sq. ft. expansion.

These expansions have been facilitated and driven by Daviess County competitive advantages—superior market access, higher quality workforce, lower costs, and competitive incentives.
